Infant Monitoring System

Overview

Neurealm built a comprehensive Infant Monitoring System to remotely track vital parameters — especially temperature — of premature infants in rural settings using a connected device, mobile app, cloud backend, and analytics framework.

Business Context

Healthcare facilities and caregivers in underserved regions often lack the infrastructure for continuous remote monitoring of vulnerable infants, risking delayed intervention during critical events. To improve outcomes and reduce healthcare gaps in rural India, a scalable and reliable end-to-end system was needed — one that could capture, transmit, analyze, and provide actionable feedback on infant health metrics while supporting future growth.

Solutions

Neurealm delivered a multi-component solution with device firmware capturing temperature, motion, and sensor data over BLE, secure transmission over GSM/GPRS/3G to a cloud infrastructure, and data analytics on both the mobile device and cloud. Critical feedback mechanisms — including video and audio alerts — were incorporated, and the backend was built for reliability, security, and scalability to support future use cases.
