Overview

Neurealm defined a novel audio digital communication standard and built a prototype—including RTL, FPGA implementation, software, and firmware—culminating in a successful demonstration for a Tier-1 semiconductor customer.

Business Context

A Tier-1 semiconductor company needed to rapidly prototype a new audio standard for control information communication through an audio jack while integrating FPGA modules via I2S and I2C interfaces. The project involved standard definition, system design, digital IP creation, verification, and end-to-end software and firmware to validate concept feasibility under aggressive timelines.

Solutions

Neurealm defined the audio communication standard, designed RTL, and performed emulation. They brought up the design initially on off-the-shelf boards and later on a custom board, developed drivers, firmware, and a GUI, and delivered a fully integrated prototype demonstration on time.
