Job Title: Network Python Automation Engineer (Infoblox)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Network Python Automation Engineer with strong expertise in networking protocols and automation to support enterprise-grade DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) environments. The role involves developing Python-based automation solutions, validating network configurations, and working closely with Infoblox systems and network infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Python-based automation scripts and frameworks for network configuration, validation, and testing

Work extensively with networking protocols such as DNS, DHCP, IPAM (DDI), TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and routing protocols

Automate validation and monitoring of DNS records, IP allocation, and DHCP scopes in Infoblox environments

Integrate and automate workflows using REST APIs (Infoblox WAPI and other network APIs)

Design automation for network health checks, failover testing, and configuration compliance

Collaborate with network engineering teams to troubleshoot protocol-level issues

Build reusable automation utilities for network troubleshooting and validation

Support CI/CD integration for network automation workflows

Maintain documentation for automation frameworks and network procedures

Required Skills

Strong Python programming skills for automation and scripting

Deep understanding of networking protocols: DNS, DHCP, IPAM, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, subnetting

Hands-on experience with Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)

Experience with REST APIs and Infoblox WAPI

Strong knowledge of routing and switching fundamentals

Experience working in Linux/Unix environments

Understanding of network troubleshooting tools (dig, nslookup, traceroute, tcpdump, etc.)
