Job Description:


Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Design & Strategy:


Lead end-to-end architectural design for enterprise-level .NET applications, defining patterns, best practices, and technical standards.


Create detailed architectural blueprints and design documents.


Technical Leadership & Guidance:


Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, conducting code and architectural reviews.


Act as a subject matter expert for .NET application architecture, advising on technology choices.


Requirements & Solutioning:


Translate business requirements into technical solutions within the .NET context.


Evaluate existing systems and propose architectural improvements and modernization strategies.


Coding:


Perform as an individual contributor with hands-on development experience and contribute to Sprint deliverables. 


Performance, Scalability & Security:


Design and implement highly performant, scalable, resilient, and maintainable .NET solutions.


Architect Secure .NET Applications: Design comprehensive security architectures for web, mobile, API, and cloud-native .NET applications.


Application Security Expertise: Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability assessments (SAST/DAST) for .NET applications.


Secure SDLC Integration: Drive secure coding practices and integrate security automation within CI/CD pipelines for .NET projects.


Ensure solutions comply with security policies, data privacy, and industry best practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10).


Collaborate on incident response and remediation for .NET application security incidents.


Technology Evaluation & Innovation:


Stay abreast of emerging .NET technologies and architectural trends, recommending adoption to enhance efficiency and quality.


Collaboration & Communication:


Work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of .NET solutions.


Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.


Advise teams on .NET application security best practices and secure design patterns.


Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.


Experience:


10+ years in software development with a strong focus on Microsoft .NET.


1+ years in an architectural role designing and implementing .NET application solutions.


1+ years focused on application security architecture and secure software development within the .NET ecosystem.


Proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale enterprise .NET applications.


Technical Skills:

Deep Expertise in .NET Ecosystem:


Proficiency in C# and extensive experience with .NET Core/.NET (latest versions) and ASP.NET Core (MVC, Web API), Entity Framework Core.


Experience with architectural patterns (e.g., Microservices, DDD, Event-Driven Architecture) applied to .NET.


Database Technologies:


Extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cosmos DB).


Cloud Platforms:


Solid understanding of deploying and managing .NET applications on Microsoft Azure.


Experience with relevant Azure cloud-native services (e.g., App Service, Functions, SQL Database, AKS).


API Design & Integration:


Expertise in designing, developing, and securing RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core.


Experience with message queues (e.g., Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ).


DevOps & CI/CD:


Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for .NET projects.


Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., ARM templates, Terraform) in Azure.


Front-End Technologies (Desirable):


Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) for integration with .NET backends.


Security:


Strong understanding of application security principles (OWASP Top 10, authentication, authorization, data encryption, secure coding for .NET).


Proficiency with application security tools (SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanners, identity management like Azure AD).


Deep knowledge of Secure SDLC principles applied to .NET development.


Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001) as they apply to .NET applications.
