Principal Domain Expert – Integrated Airline Operations
Location: Chennai
Role Purpose
We are looking for a powerhouse Airline Domain Expert to act as the primary functional authority across our end-to-end airline technology stack. You will bridge the gap between Passenger Service Systems (PSS) and Technical Operations (Maintenance & MRO). Your mission is to ensure that our digital solutions are grounded in the complex realities of flight operations, regulatory compliance, and fleet reliability to drive a frictionless experience for both the airline and its passengers.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Orchestration: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the "Concept-to-Intake" phase, translating complex business needs into high-fidelity functional requirements.
PSS Strategy: Provide deep insights into Passenger Service Systems (Reservations, Ticketing, Inventory, and Departure Control), ensuring seamless integration with downstream operations.
Tech Ops & MRO Oversight: Lead the functional design for Aircraft Maintenance and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) systems. You must understand the data flow between flight logs, part inventory, and hangar scheduling.
Cross-Domain Integration: Identify the "hidden" touchpoints between PSS and MRO—such as how aircraft swaps due to unscheduled maintenance impact passenger re-accommodation and seat maps.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all solution designs adhere to FAA/EASA standards and industry-mandated safety protocols.
Stakeholder Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between Neurealm’s engineering Pods and Frontier’s business leads (Ops, Maintenance, and Product).
Required Domain Expertise
Commercial (PSS): Proven experience with major PSS platforms (e.g., Navitaire, Sabre, Amadeus, or IBS iFly). Knowledge of IATA standards (ONE Order, NDC) is a significant advantage.
Operations: Deep understanding of Flight Operations, Crew Management, and Ground Handling.
Maintenance & MRO: Extensive knowledge of Maintenance Program Management, Engineering, Line/Base Maintenance, and Supply Chain/Logistics for aircraft parts.
Systems Fluency: Familiarity with MRO software (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, Maintenix) and how they interface with airline operational databases.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience: 12+ years in the airline industry, with at least 5 years in a consulting or functional leadership role within IT projects.
Certifications (Preferred): IATA Airline Management, FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license, or specialized PSS certifications.
Agile Mindset: Experience working within an Agile Pod structure and familiarity with tools like Jira/Confluence.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze "Cost of Delay" and "Aircraft AOG (Aircraft on Ground)" impacts to prioritize development backlogs.
