Overview
Neurealm delivered end‑to‑end architecture, integration, and verification services for a LiDAR‑centric automotive System‑on‑Chip (SoC aimed at enabling autonomous driver‑assist systems, with ASIL‑B compliance built in.
Business Context
A US‑based automotive sensor chip company engaged Neurealm to partner on a strategic SoC initiative for next‑gen LiDAR processing. The project encompassed complex IPs including a quad‑core A78 application subsystem, safety manager based on Cortex‑R5 cores, and scan control logic, alongside support for emulation and integration of critical glue logic. The goal was to meet stringent performance, safety, and integration requirements before tape‑out.
Solutions
Neurealm architected the SoC processing subsystem with eight Cortex cores to balance performance, power, area, and safety requirements, selected and integrated suitable IP, and built the full test environment. They created IP‑ and subsystem‑level test benches, applied formal checks including connectivity and temporal assertions, deployed performance validation frameworks, and collaborated cross‑functionally on DFT/PD/emulation, resulting in a fully tested, functional SoC in silicon.
