Overview
Neurealm designed and verified a Cortex-M3 based security authentication SoC for a Tier-1 semiconductor customer, integrating real-time boot decryption, tamper protection, and USB-based fingerprint authentication.
Business Context
The client required a secure authentication chip tailored to embedded and connected applications, featuring robust real-time decryption and hardware tamper defenses. It needed careful IP integration, low-power design, and strong verification flows to satisfy stringent functional and performance requirements for secure access, identity validation, and embedded system trust.
Solutions
Neurealm executed SoC integration and system IP design, including IO mux and bridge IPs, optimized for low-power operation with multiple power modes and voltage domains. They ensured memory retention and implemented clock fault monitoring with switching schemes, supporting synthesis, lint/CDC/conformal checks, and post-layout STA toward a successful tape-out.
