Overview

Neurealm delivered automotive-ready multicore software solutions tailored for a RADAR System-on-Chip (SoC used in Level 1 to Level 3 ADAS applications, including secure multistage boot, custom Ethernet stack, and inter-core RPC communication.

Business Context

A US-based automotive semiconductor customer developing safety-critical RADAR SoCs required expert assistance to analyse, restructure, and qualify its software stack for ISO 26262 compliance. Challenges spanned multicore architecture complexities, functional safety gap analysis, audit readiness, and ensuring robust inter-processor communications across Cortex-M0+, Cortex-R52, and other Arm cores—all while reducing lead time for both pre- and post-silicon validation.

Solutions

Neurealm performed functional safety (FuSa) gap analysis and restructured unsafe software modules. Leveraging Arm’s built-in safety features and Coresight debug infrastructure, they integrated code analysis tools for static, dynamic, and cyclomatic checks. Their team established automated CI/CD pipelines and validation frameworks for bootloaders, custom frameworks, and safety libraries, ensuring thorough ISO 26262-aligned static analysis, coverage collection via RPC and JTAG/UART, and efficient power management integration.
