POSITION SUMMARY: 

The SAP Data Conversion Analyst is responsible and specializes in moving data from legacy systems to new target solutions using tools like Winshuttle, the  SAP BusinessObjects Data Services(BODS), SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW) and SAP Data Services, focusing on data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), cleansing, mapping, and validation to ensure accuracy and business continuity. They manage the entire lifecycle, from discovery and planning to post-go-live support, often adapting standard migration objects or creating custom ones for unique business needs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning & Strategy: Defining scope, timelines, resources, and migration approaches for data conversions

• Data Analysis and Mapping: Analyzing source data for quality, completeness, and mapping to target structures.

• Tool Expertise: Utilizing data conversion tools such as but not limited to the Winshuttle, SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC), Migration Object Modeler (MOM), SAP Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW), and SAP Data Services (BODS).

• Execution: Performing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

• Cleansing & Validation: Cleaning data (identifying and correcting inaccurate, incomplete or duplicate data), standardizing formats, and running mock migrations for testing.

• Customization: Adapting migration objects or creating custom ones for unique data fields.

• Support: Providing post-go-live support and user training.

• Validation & Testing: Verifying the integrity and accuracy of migrated data.

• Collaboration: Working with business users (functional teams) and IT (technical teams). 

SPECIFIC SKILLS

 Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Data Conversion/Migration roles.

 Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

 Expertise in ETL processes and data migration methodologies.

 Familiarity with various SAP modules (e.g., FICO, SuccessFactors).

 Tools: Winshuttle, SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Migration Object Modeler, SAP Data Services (BODS).

 Methodologies: Understanding of ETL processes, data governance, and migration best practices.

 Technical: Knowledge of ERP data models and SQL. 

 Attention to detail and effective communication.

 Must be self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail oriented.

 Must have proven ability to set and follow priorities and timeline.

 Must have the ability to build lasting trusted partnerships across various functional areas and technical disciplines. Able to support off-hours work as required, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 on call responsibilities on a rotational basis.

EXPERIENCE:

Essential: 

 Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Data Conversion/Migration roles.

 Experience in working on Agile development teams and projects.

Desirable: 

 Experience as an SAP S4HANA Data Migration Consultant.

EDUCATION:

Essential:

 Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology (IT), or data science.
