Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead and facilitate agile practices for our backend NDC team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving agile delivery, fostering collaboration, and ensuring high-quality outcomes in complex backend systems. You will act as a servant leader, guiding the team to continuously improve while aligning with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, reviews).

Ensure the team adheres to agile principles and practices, removing impediments proactively.

Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize backlog items for NDC services.

Track and report sprint metrics (velocity, defect leakage, burn-down charts) to stakeholders.

Promote accountability and transparency within the team and across leadership.

Coach team members on agile best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Partner with QA and DevOps to ensure smooth integration, testing, and deployment of middleware components.

Identify risks and dependencies early, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.

Drive initiatives to reduce defect leakage and improve delivery quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

6 - 10 Years of experience as a Scrum Master.

Basic understanding of middleware technologies (APIs, integration layers, messaging systems).

Proven ability to measure and improve agile metrics (e.g., defect leakage, cycle time, throughput).

Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Ability to influence without authority and build trust across teams.

Preferred but not mandatory: 

Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).

Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar agile project management tools.

Experience as a Scrum Master in a backend or middleware team.

Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Experience working with distributed teams.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Prior experience in Airlines domain.
