RoleOverview

The Senior AEMFront-End Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and deployingrobust, scalable, and visually precise user interfaces within the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)platform. This position requires deep expertise in AEM front-end frameworks,HTL-based component development, and modern JavaScript. The role involves closecollaboration with UX/UI designers and AEM backend developers to deliverpixel-perfect, high-performance digital experiences.


KeyResponsibilities

1.AEM Component & Template Development

  • HTL/Sightly Mastery: Develop highly reusable AEM components and editable templates using HTL.
  • Front-End Implementation: Write clean and semantic HTML5, scalable CSS3/SASS/LESS, and efficient JavaScript (ES6+).
  • ClientLibs Management: Create and optimize AEM Client Libraries, ensuring proper dependency loading, caching, and performance tuning.
  • Authoring Experience: Build intuitive, author-friendly components with robust Touch UI dialogs and configuration options.

2.Architecture and Integration

  • SPA/Headless Integration: Lead integrations between AEM and frameworks such as React/Angular, using SPA Editor or Headless approaches (Content Fragments, GraphQL).
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve UI performance bottlenecks; ensure fast rendering and cross-browser compatibility.
  • AEMaaCS & DevOps: Work within AEM as a Cloud Service environments including Cloud Manager pipelines and AEMaaCS best practices.
  • API Consumption: Integrate front-end components with AEM JSON Exporter, REST APIs, and Adobe Marketing Cloud tools (Target, Analytics).

3.Quality, Governance & Mentorship

  • Standards Compliance: Enforce WCAG accessibility, responsive design principles, and high-quality coding standards.
  • Code Reviews: Lead front-end code reviews ensuring performance, maintainability, and adherence to AEM best practices.
  • Mentorship: Guide junior developers on AEM front-end techniques, JavaScript patterns, and component architecture.

RequiredQualifications & Technical Skills

  • Experience: 5–8 years in web UI development, including 3+ years in AEM front-end engineering.
  • AEM Expertise (Mandatory):
    • HTL/Sightly
    • AEM Client Libraries
    • AEM Core Components
  • Front-End Core: Strong mastery of HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript (ES6+), component-based UI architecture.
  • Preferred Frameworks: Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js in an AEM environment.
  • Build Tools: Proficiency with Webpack, Gulp, Grunt, and Git-based workflows.
  • Certification (Highly Preferred): Adobe Certified Expert – AEM Sites Developer.
