Architect - Network

Job Description

We are seeking a talented network engineer who is well-versed in designing & managing

Networking infrastructure of a large enterprise. You will be involved with transforming and

operating the networking and cloud components for a global private cloud, which houses all

Rakuten’s core applications. We are seeking for a highly motivated and team-oriented

engineer who is passionate to immerse into various network technologies to automate and

improve the network integration of Rakuten global infrastructure platform.

- Responsibilities:

 Design and deploy Networking solutions across DC, Core and Public Cloud

 Introduce new open-source networking solutions to improve functionality and

performance

 Perform analysis and diagnosis of highly complex networking problems.

 Drive the Automation of network related activities across Deployment and

Operations

- Minimum Qualifications:

 12 + years’ work experience in Datacenter network and core network where

minimum 5+ years of experience as a network architect

 In-depth Knowledge of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP and OSI) and

expertise on routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, etc.)

 Solid understanding about spine/leaf architecture, Overlay/Underlay network,

VXLAN,EVPN

 Network Engineering expertise at a multi-vendor integration experience.

 Hands on experience on Cisco ACI Design, Deployment and Operations

 Hands on experience with Kubernetes networking

 Hands on experience with network operations, debugging of new products and

networks, packet level analysis of network and network protocols.

 In depth knowledge on configuring and optimizing Network device monitoring and

alerting

 Hands on experience with Cloud networking with public cloud.

 Hands on experience with scripting. (bash/perl/python/etc.)

 Hands on expertise with Devops & configuration management tools(Git, Jenkins,

ansible, puppet, Chef)

 Hands on experience with Linux as a network operating system

 Good understanding in design, deployment, configuration and troubleshooting of

F5/Netscaler/A10 Load Balancers.

 Good understanding of SSL/TLS offloading/termination and cipher suites.

 Hands on experience of BIND and should have hands on experience working on any

DNS tool (IPAM/Infoblox.)

 Experience with Cumulus Linux or any Open-Source NOS

- Required Education:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

 CCIE/CCNP
