OSS/BSS QA Engineer - Core Telecom Systems

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced OSS/BSS QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and

performance of our critical telecom service enablement and revenue assurance systems.

The scope of work focuses on key components that span both the operational and business

layers, including the Online Charging System (OCS), CDR Manager, OTA platform, A2P

messaging gateway, and Whitelist Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software testing principles, deep

expertise in the telecommunications domain, and practical experience implementing modern,

AI-powered automation solutions to drive efficiency across the end-to-end service lifecycle

Required Qualifications

1. Core Testing Foundations

● 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance/Software Testing, with a

significant focus on high-volume, real-time backend systems.

● Expert-level knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), test design techniques

(e.g., state transition, boundary value analysis), and quality metrics.

● Proven proficiency in testing REST/SOAP APIs and microservices using professional

tools (e.g., Postman, JMeter, SoapUI, or equivalent).

2. Telecom & Domain Knowledge (OSS/BSS)

● Mandatory: Deep functional knowledge of Online Charging (OCS) and the interplay

between charging and billing systems (BSS).

● Strong understanding of Telecom protocols such as Diameter (Gy/Gx/Sy interfaces),

RADIUS etc

● Solid grasp of the OSS/BSS architecture and the critical processes associated with Call

Detail Records (CDR) Mediation and Service Fulfilment/Assurance (OTA).

3. Automation & Tools

● 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Software Testing, with a significant

focus on backend systems, APIs, and microservices.

● 3+ years of hands-on experience in implementing robust test automation frameworks.

● Practical experience or good knowledge of AI-augmented testing tools and concepts

(e.g., visual testing, self-healing selectors) to enhance automation efficiency.

● Experience with integration tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control (Git).

● Proficiency in testing APIs/Web Services using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
