Jr. IAM Engineer Job Description
Position Summary
The Junior IAM Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, maintenance, and support of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the security and integrity of Client’s data and systems by managing user identities and their access privileges. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and possess a foundational understanding of IT security concepts.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations and administration of IAM platforms, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
  • Support the implementation and integration of new applications and services into the IAM framework.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related issues, providing timely support to Client and end-users.
  • Participate in the development and documentation of IAM processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Monitor IAM system performance and security logs, identifying and reporting potential vulnerabilities or anomalies.
  • Provide deep technical expertise and guidance on a wide range of IAM technologies and protocols, including:Single Sign-On (SSO) and Federation (SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect) Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) architectures and implementations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot directory services like Active Directory and LDAP.
  • Stay updated on the latest IAM trends, technologies, and best practices.

QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor's degree in Science,Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in IT, with a strong interest in cybersecurity or IAM.
  • Familiarity with identity management concepts (e.g., SSO, MFA, Federation, Provisioning).
  • Experience with scripting languages in Javascript, PowerShell, Python
  • Basic understanding of directory services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their IAM capabilities.
