Job Summary
The IT Procurement, Asset, and License Management Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of IT hardware, software, and services procurement, physical IT asset tracking, and comprehensive Microsoft license management, ensuring financial compliance and vendor health.
Key Responsibilities
IT Procurement: Manage the complete Purchase Request (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle, including vendor contract management (SLAs/MSAs), order tracking, and handling hardware logistics and claims.
IT Asset Management (ITAM): Manage the entire hardware lifecycle (onboarding, maintenance, and offboarding), serve as the subject matter expert for the asset management tool, and maintain accurate physical inventory.
License & Financial Management: Oversee the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (EA) or Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) relationship. Lead strategic renewals, license optimization (harvesting underutilized seats), monthly invoice vs. usage reconciliation, and manage Azure Reserved Instances (RIs) for cost savings.
Governance: Resolve internal payment delays via Root Cause Analysis and manage professional communication with vendors regarding payment disputes.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven expertise in IT Procurement, IT Asset Management (ITAM), and Software License Management.
Expert knowledge of the Purchase Request to Purchase Order (PR-to-PO) process.
Proficiency with ERP/Procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba) and Asset Management databases (e.g., FreshService).
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 licensing and Azure cloud license management.
