Technical Architect (Java & Cloud Modernization)

Experience: 10+ Years

Focus: Cloud-Native Architecture, Distributed Systems, & Healthcare Scalability

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Technical Architect to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise-grade healthcare platforms. You will be responsible for the "big picture" technical vision, ensuring our systems are high-performing, resilient, and secure. You will mentor senior developers, define architectural standards, and lead the transition from legacy Java applications to modern, cloud-centric microservices environments.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Strategy: Define the blueprint for scalable, multi-tenant Java applications. Lead the migration from monolithic structures to Microservices and Serverless architectures.

Cloud Transformation: Drive cloud-native strategies (AWS/Azure/GCP), utilizing Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) for orchestration and ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.

Technical Governance: Establish "Golden Paths" for development, including CI/CD patterns, automated testing strategies, and coding standards that ensure long-term maintainability.

Performance & Scalability: Optimize distributed systems to handle high-concurrency healthcare transactions, ensuring sub-second latency and 99.99% uptime.

Security-First Design: Integrate OIDC/OAuth2, encryption-at-rest/transit, and HIPAA-compliant data handling into the core architecture.

R&D & Prototyping: Conduct PoCs for emerging technologies (e.g., Quarkus/Micronaut for faster startups, Kafka for event-driven streaming) to keep our stack modern.

Qualifications

10+ years in software engineering with at least 3+ years in a dedicated Architecture role.

Java Mastery: Expert-level knowledge of Java 17/21+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and the broader JVM ecosystem.

Cloud Expertise: Proven experience architecting solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP (Cloud Architect certification is a major plus).

Data Systems: Deep experience with both RDBMS (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra/Redis), plus event-streaming with Apache Kafka.

Integration Standards: Expertise in RESTful API design, GraphQL, and healthcare-specific protocols (FHIR/HL7).

Leadership: Experience leading cross-functional squads and influencing C-suite technical decisions.
